Beauty

Everything has beauty but not everyone sees it.
Contemplating on life's beauty improves our life and the world around us.
-Confucius

I have been blogging and reading so many ideas and "rantings" in the web lately. I just marvel at how much people differ from one another and how our preoccupations are so telling of what and who we are. In fact, at certain times, I would look at what I have been writing and ask myself, don't I have anything to complain about? to get mad about? somethings I find unfair? Ohhhhh my... too many. But what's the point of putting them here? Oh there I go... listen to me, I’m complaining already! Ha ha ha...

I'm sure people who say they pour their angst on the web are not exactly the quiet, "step on me" type of person. I am sure they articulate as much in real life... so what's the point of sharing your grief?

For some, they think that being able to share such emotions relieve them of the blues, but in most cases, it just prolongs it.

"What we think of expands."

There are times I feel guilty being such a Pollyanna when grueling things are happening in Russia, in Iraq and even in our own backyard (literally). But we know that already, being bitter about all the hopelessness of our civil society and our fiscal crises won't solve anything.

This much i'd like to share: A wonderful thought we have of a friend who is away from us could make them feel better. A quiet prayer for someone who is not well or is down in spirit can heal.

I believe we are all interrelated somehow. Our faith explains this. Whatever faith we have.

Beauty need not exist for our Being to recognize it. It is what we are inside that dictates how we look at things outside of us.

No need to explain that.

What's beautiful in your world lately?
