I had a rather "weird" meeting with a boy today. He greeted me as if he really wanted to start a conversation. I was hesitant to talk to him at first because he seem far too comfortable than I would have wanted him to be. He started talking to me about "the work" because he saw the book of the founder on my desk. I borrowed that book minutes before he showed up on my desk in the office. He said he is an aspirante of the work as well. The first in the Philippines since 1980s he said. He checked on my norms, talked to me about the apostolate, about life in the center. He came with his mom and it's his first time to be in our office - possibly the only time he'd be there. He's 15.
Our conversation was pleasant. We talked about beauty, music, goodness, hopes, prayer. Chance meeting? He calls it "arranged meeting" of sorts. :)
